Cluster by cluster and cluster by cluster

由这句话演变出“物以类聚，人以群分”的说法。

From this sentence evolved into the phrase "birds of a feather flock together, people flock together".

脾气相投的人自然相处融洽，志同道合的人自然会聚在一起。

People of the same temper naturally get along well, and like-minded people naturally get together.

有一句俗话，“龙交龙，凤交凤，老鼠的朋友会打洞”，也是这个意思。

There is a saying that "dragons make dragons, phoenixes make phoenixes, friends of mice make holes" also means this.

战国时期，齐宣王喜欢招贤纳士，于是让淳于髡举荐人才。

During the Warring States Period, King Xuanwang of Qi liked to recruit talents, so Chunyu Kun was asked to recommend talents.

淳于髡一天之内接连向齐宣王推荐了七位贤人。

Chunyukun recommended seven sages to King Xuanwang of Qi in one day.

齐宣王很惊讶，就对淳于髡说：“人才是很难得的，贤人并不多见，现在你一天之内就推荐了七位，他们都可靠吗？”

King Xuanwang of Qi was very surprised and said to Chunyu Kun, "Talents are rare. There are not many sages. Now you have recommended seven people in one day. Are they all reliable?"

淳于髡回答说：

Chunyu Kun answered:

“不能这样说。要知道，同类的鸟儿总是聚在一起飞翔，同类的野兽总是聚在一起行动。

"You can't say that. You know, birds of the same kind always fly together, animals of the same kind always act together.

寻找柴胡、桔梗这类药材，如果到水泽洼地去找，恐怕永远也找不到；

Looking for such medicinal materials as Bupleurum chinense and Platycodon grandiflorum, if you go to the Watershed, I am afraid you will never find them.

要是到山的背面去找，那可以成堆地找到，这是因为天下同类的事物，总是要相聚在一起的。

If you go to the back of the mountain, you can find it in piles, because the same kind of things in the world always come together.

我淳于髡大概也算个贤人，所以让我举荐贤人，就如同在黄河里取水，在燧石中取火一样容易，我还要给您再推荐一些贤人，何止这七位！”

I Chunyu Kun is probably a sage, so let me recommend sages, just as it is easy to get water in the Yellow River and fire in flint. I also want to recommend some sages to you, not only the seven!

君子以厚德载物

Gentlemen carry things with great virtue

经常有人抱怨说，为什么我遇不到好人和好的环境，其实，抱怨的同时，应该思考一下，是不是因为自己做得不够好？

Some people often complain about why I can't meet good people and good environment. In fact, while complaining, we should think about whether it's because we don't do well enough.

古人说：君子务本，本立而道生。

The ancients said: a gentleman's business is based on his own principles.

要从根本上提升自己。

We should improve ourselves fundamentally.

不要去追一匹马，用追马的时间种草，待到春暖花开时，就会有一批骏马任你挑选。

Don't chase a horse, use the time to plant grass, when spring blossoms, there will be a group of horses for you to choose.

不要去刻意巴结一个人，用暂时没有朋友的时间，去提升自己的德行，待到时机成熟时，就会有很多朋友与你同行。

Don't try to butter up with someone. Use the time when you don't have friends to improve your morality. When the time is ripe, you will have many friends with you.

用人情做出来的朋友只是暂时的，用厚德吸引来的朋友才是长久的。

Friends made of human feelings are temporary, but friends drawn by virtue are long-term.

丰富自己比取悦他人更有力量。

It is more powerful to enrich oneself than to please others.

做个温暖的人，用加法的方式去爱人，用减法的方式去怨恨，用乘法的方式去感恩，用除法的方式去烦恼，会发现全世界都在向你微笑！

To be a warm person, to love others by adding, to resent by subtracting, to be grateful by multiplying, to worry by dividing, you will find that the whole world is smiling at you!

眼是一把尺，看人先看己；心是一杆秤，称人也称己。

The eye is a ruler, and the heart is a weighing rod.

心中有德，是慈悲；口中有德，是善良。

Virtue in the heart is compassion; virtue in the mouth is kindness.

一个人的涵养来自大度，来自宽容；一个人的修为，是懂得包容，懂得尊重。

A person's self-cultivation comes from magnanimity and tolerance; a person's practice is to understand tolerance and respect.

人生是如此短暂，对身边的每个人都要好一点，因为下辈子不一定能遇见。

Life is so short, everyone around us should be better, because the next life will not necessarily meet.

目中有人，才会有路可走；心中有爱，方能有所作为。

If you have someone in your eyes, you will have a way to go; if you have love in your heart, you can make a difference.

我们一点一滴积累的德行，终有一天会全部回报给我们，只是时间早晚的问题。

It is only a matter of time before or after all our accumulated virtues will one day be fully rewarded to us.

《易经》：同声相应，同气相求

The Book of Changes: Corresponding with one voice and seeking with one spirit

近朱者赤，近墨者黑。

Near Zhu is red, near Mo is black.

和阳光的人在一起，心里不会晦暗；

With the sunshine people, the heart will not be dark;

和快乐的人在一起，嘴角常带微笑；

When you are with happy people, you always have a smile on your lips.

和进取的人在一起，行动不会落后；

Together with progressive people, action will not lag behind.

和大方的人在一起，处事就不小气；

When you are with generous people, you are not stingy.

和睿智的人在一起，遇事就不迷茫；

With wise people, things don't get confused.

和聪明的人在一起，做事变得机敏。

With smart people, things become smart.

做最好的自己，才能碰见最好的别人。

To be the best of yourself is to meet the best of others.

其实遇到的每个人都可能成为我们生命中的“贵人”，前提条件是我们应该与人为善。

In fact, everyone we meet may become a "noble person" in our life. The prerequisite is that we should be kind to others.

付出真诚，就会得到相应的信任；献出爱心，就会得到相应的回报。

If you give sincerely, you will get the corresponding trust; if you give love, you will get the corresponding return.

反之，带着猜忌、怀疑甚至戒备之心与人相处，就难免得到别人的猜忌与怀疑。

On the contrary, people with suspicion, suspicion and even alert will inevitably get suspicion and suspicion from others.

当我们用一个手指在指点别人的时候，别忘了还有三个手指正指向我们自己。

When we point at others with one finger, don't forget that there are three fingers pointing at ourselves.

当我们拿花送给别人的时候，首先闻到花香的是自己；当我们抓起泥巴抛向别人的时候，首先弄脏的也是自己的手。

When we give flowers to others, the first thing we smell is ourselves; when we grab the mud and throw it to others, the first thing we dirty is our hands.

我们希望别人怎样对待我们，我们就要怎样对待别人。

We should treat others as we want them to treat us.

做最好的自己，才能碰见最好的别人。

To be the best of yourself is to meet the best of others.

种下梧桐树，引得凤凰来。

Planting sycamore trees attracts phoenix.

你若盛开，蝴蝶自来，你若精彩，天自安排。

If you are in full bloom, butterflies come, if you are brilliant, day by day.
